My daughters

I miss them.  Children grow up and go out on their own like I did…but I miss them.  The capers we had are lodged in my memory and with all this extra time I have, I find myself sitting on their beds in their rooms and reminiscing.

Volleyball, track, softball and cross country took over my evenings and weekends for years.  I loved to watch them play and I would drive to the ends of the earth to be there.  Work would get in the way but I would still be there even if it was the end of the sporting event.

My daughters have become beautiful, independent and caring young women, everything I had hoped for…better than I was.  Now I look forward to the next chapter of our lives and the new capers awaiting us!

  1. Ah…I can relate. I remember running around in those days until my head hit the pillow. I knew someday I would miss it too. I do. And like you, it is so refreshing to see them grow up into beautiful adults.

  2. Thank you! I know, we put so much time and effort into our children that it’s a wonderful feeling to see them mature to who they are! Love it!

  3. I miss my little boys, and the adventures we shared, but I have my memories and 2 amazing young men that I love spending time with 😃😃😃🦉
